My week so far

I met my sister on Monday for a catch-up and to have a wee wonder about. We ended up in the GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art). I don't claim to know anything about modern art but I quite liked some of the stuff I saw by a chick named Niki de Saint Phalle born in France in 1930. A former model who turned to art to work through a mental breakdown. Here is a few snapshots I took:

This one below was my favourite but my picture does not do it justice. The lights were all different colours not just the pale light my picture seems to show. The bold colours and play on shadow made the piece stand out for me.

This one just seemed so happy:

James and I then headed to London in the search for a flat for the big move - DUN DUN DUN. We were not prepared with how soul-destroying this task would be. Luckily we found a place that seems pretty good and value for money. Just hoping everything works out in time for our move. It needs a bit of a clean up but I am excited to make it our new home. The downside of the new start is we have to re-home our furry babies : pretty upset we will no longer have our kitties. I have to keep telling myself they will have a better more settled life with other people but it still feels so sad. James' mum is taking Luma as she thinks she will get on well with her current cat Horrace. She will love it there. Once she is settled she can be an outdoor cat and I know that would make her so happy.

Look at that wee face! Gonna miss her! We have decided it is best to split up Yoshi and Goomba as they don't really get on well. We are going to contact Cats Protection and ask if they can rehome them for us. They guys do a bang up job and vet potential cat owners to make sure the cat will be well looked after which is our main concern. I think Yoshi would be happier as a lone cat with a family so he could get all the attention and hopefully that would cure his anxiety that leads to urinary stones from time to time.

Big fluffy Goomba would be happy anywhere! That wee guy just gets on with his own thing and occasionally comes up for a pat when he feels like it. Cool as a cucumber that one.

I just want them to be well looked after and happy. Going to miss those furry little buggers when it comes to letting them go! I just keep pretending they aren't going anywhere. Need to face up to reality pretty soon.

Whilst in London for the flat search our friend Chris showed us around. James spotted a shop purely for MnM's which he dragged us into out of morbid curiosity. I have no idea how that place stays in business! All it consists of is MnM's of different colours and cheap touristy things. We did have fun trying to take pictures of James with each colour of MnM!

Only a few weeks time until the big scary move :-s eek! Here is a silly music video to leave you with that James came across tonight to confuse and amuse you!
