Back in 2008 James and I went to Canada for a fantastic two week holiday. There we fell in love with the place (we fully intend to move there after a short time down in London, at least to give another continent a go!) We were there in the autumn and spent the first week in a magnificent cabin in Squamish. Then we had a little view of city-living in Vancouver. Here is some photo-highlights of our time there (can't help lusting over holiday's when I'm at my poorest and the weather here is dragging me down):
Pretty window display we saw on our first night |
James and I tried our hand at fishing. I was 100% better cause he kept getting the hooks stuck at the bottom of the lake haha!
Here are a few shots of the cabin we stayed in. It had a hot-tub. Everyone should have one of those! Defo on my must have list when I eventually (if ever) can afford it.
We saw a black bear and spent an afternoon admiring the views whilst travelling by sea-plane (which I kept calling sky-plane much to James' amusement)
Whilst in Vancouver we came across this art gallery in a Shopping Centre that had an event on that night. We decided to have a look since we didn't have anything else planned. It was amazing! They played
fantastic music whilst graffiti artists 'battled' in one corner and there was loads of fantastic art that we both loved. It was here that I bought a signed print by Camilla de Erico and was introduced to her amazing art work. She is an Italian- Canadian and works for many well known companies as well as doing her own stuff. Her designs are now gracing t-shirts, cushions, chairs and even guitars. A lot of her work incorporates animals in the design, with many of it giving of a sexual vibe. Here are some of her work I particularly like:

I think once I loose some of the weight I might treat myself to one of her Tee's. The pillow would be a good idea when James and I move into our new Pad down in London later this year.
