Mother's Day Hijacked My Birthday

It's not all doom and gloom. I may not have gotten any cards and presents yet because they are still in the post or waiting to be collected - I was treated to a fab dinner worthy of Masterchef by my bearded boyfriend James :) I must admit, I'm starting to miss what birthday's were like when I was younger! Smartie parties! Lot's of presents to unwrap. Lots of friends and family to play with. It sometimes sucks getting older - you loose a lot of the fun stuff! Even so - I love birthday's!

My poor mum will also have to wait for her mother's day until tomorrow when I have the chance to make the bus journey over to the old nest. I am going to attempt to make Chelsea buns from scratch as it is her fave goody by far! I will let you know how it goes. Failing that I can always buy some for her!

I can't wait for Summer. One of the best things about our flat is there are gorgeous cherry blossom trees that I can see from my kitchen window. They are so pretty. There used to be loads of them at my old High School back in the day. I used to love when all the blossoms would fall to the ground begging to be kicked every-which-way. Here are some pretty pictures of Goomba taken last year where you can see the cherry blossom in the background:

I can't keep house plants for long because this little guy just loves to chew on them. I am thinking perhaps a bottle garden may be the answer!

I learned today that in Washington DC they have a cherry blossom festival which marks the start of spring when all the cherry blossoms bloom. I think this would be lovely to see.

I also came across this beautiful photography by someone called Yumi:

And isn't this wedding cake just fantastic!

What can I say, I love this perfume by L'Occitane:

Well one year old and not a lot wiser! At least I've wasted some time looking at something pretty
