Failed attempts

Well I was trying to make a pretty little crochet cherry broach with little Luma on my knee but she decided to run away with one of the little balls so I couldn't complete it!

Perhaps try again another time see if I can actually finish this little project!


I had a wee go at some papercraft using a pretty little pattern from this website: http://www.tougui.fr/papertoy.html

The first attempt failed completely as I used normal paper and it just was not thick enough:

The second time I tried I had some photo paper so gave it a wee go - worked lot better. But tried to stick it together using PVA glue - NIGHTMARE! Kept slipping all over the place and the ink came off onto my hands. Word of advice - use better glue if you give it a wee go such as super glue. I certainly will for my next attempt at making a paper toy.

Well I'm off to my life drawing group tonight. It's a nice wee relaxed setting where I can pretend that I can actually draw. It gets me away from the piles of uni work that looks at me accusingly every night! It's also in one of my favourite little pubs in Glasgow.
